A comprehensive study of the elliptic flow of hadrons for non-central Au+Au collisions with an impact parameter of 5–9 fm in the mid-rapidity region (−1 ≤ ycm ≤ 1) and reaction plane angle Ψ in mid-pseudorapidity (|η| < 0.35) is investigated at 25 A GeV FAIR energy using the AMPT model. Both the default and string melting scenarios are considered. At low PT (≤ 1.0 GeV/c), elliptic flow shows linear behavior and mass ordering is observed. A universal scaling of elliptic flow using constituent quark number is evident only in the string melting scenario. The transverse kinetic energy scaling behavior also supports the quark coalescence mechanism. These results support the formation of deconfined and thermalized matter in heavy-ion collisions at FAIR energies.
