This study examines the erosion sensitivity, geology, sediment density, and side-bed erosion of perennial and ephemeral rivers in Tehran province. Using hydrographic and geological data along with ARC GIS, 415 streams were analyzed over 3038 km of river length. Results show 5.55% of rivers fall into low erosion, 49.82% into medium, and 44.63% into high erosion sensitivity. In terms of geology, 64.72% are alluvial and 35.28% rocky. Sediment density was high in 57.34% of rivers, and side erosion was found in 63.9% of the rivers, while 36.1% had bed erosion. The study provides valuable insight for river conservation and watershed management in erosion-prone regions.
