Abstract

The physics of the interplay between GABA receptors was theoretically investigated using MRI due to its control of intermediate energy storage and heat production. The study establishes that molecular potential in GABA receptors increases the peak radiofrequency (RF) field and the holding potential. A suppressed fluctuation of the GABAergic signaling was observed when all receptors were active. A dual technique is proposed—proton MRI and charge distribution—to detect the suppressed GABAergic state in the human body.
