First light detection of solar burst type IV in Malaysia in the region of 260 MHz to 380 MHz was successfully observed on 5th March 2012, associated with an M2.0 class solar flare. The burst's variation suggests effects of magnetic reconnection potentially inducing disturbances in Earth's magnetotail. This research, part of the International Space Weather Initiative (ISWI), marks the beginning of Malaysia's participation in solar radio emission monitoring using CALLISTO spectrometer and LPDA at the National Space Centre.
