This article describes signal detection by Log-Periodic Dipole-Antenna (LPDA) designed for solar monitoring with very high-performance in the 45 MHz to 870 MHz range. Installed at the National Space Centre, Banting, the LPDA setup includes a CALLISTO spectrometer. Signal detection identified multiple interference sources, notably in FM, VHF, and UHF bands. Calibration and impedance matching are key to optimizing performance. The setup successfully detects solar signals and identifies quiet frequency bands suitable for radio astronomy.
